Kenya attorney general wants election inquiry
NAIROBI – Kenyan Attorney General Amos Wako yesterday called for an independent investigation into vote results that led to President Mwai Kibaki’s disputed re-election.
Some shops and other buildings have been set on fire in several districts of Nairobi, while inset, Kenyan police yesterday used tear gas and water cannon to try to prevent a mass protest against the result of last week’s Presidential election.
