Second division tier ASPOR FC vice-president Eugene Rwamanywa has said that club would welcome Juvenal Mvukiyehe’s offer as long as he meets that club management’s terms and conditions. The development came days after reports emerged that the Kiyovu SC President Juvenal Mvukiyehe made contact with the Kicukiro-based club management in an attempt to buy the club. Mvukiyehe resigned from his position as Kiyovu President in Septeber citing personal reasons and is reportedly looking for a club to buy although the Green Baggies’ management has not approved his resignation yet. Times Sport understands that he informed the club that he won’t revoke his decision before flying to Belgium last week. Although reports indicate that Mvukiyehe is close to agreeing a deal to buy ASPOR, club president Rwamanywa told Times Sport that they haven’t received any offer from the business mogul yet nor did he make a contact with them on the club sale matter. “We never had any conversation with Mvukiyehe about selling our club, we hear it in the media and we don’t know where it came from,” Rwamanywa said. He, however, said that the club admires Mvukiyehe’s modern football business management ideas and would welcome his offer should a good offer come by. “Mvukiyehe has a clear idea on how you can invest and make profit through sports and that’s what our club is looking for. If he wants to work with us, we will welcome him,” he said. Asked if the club is up for sale, Rwamanywa said that they can’t easily sell the team but admits they would only welcome a potential buyer at a certain percentage. “Our idea is to open doors to people who wish to work with us, invest and grow the club together. It won’t be easy to sell the team but you can’t rule out the sale completely,” he explained.
