Editor, I am disturbed with the way everyone is complaining that MTN is invading their privacy with unsolicited messages. I am not an employee of MTN but a subscriber. I do get the messages but I see no reason why I should blow the roof off. Simply because, the day I signed up with MTN, I know am open to all their products and am entitled to receive promotional messages and any other messages MTN deems I should get, as long they are not offensive to my person. This is just a rule of advertising and a tool of attracting more and more customers. There are very many avenues that a company can use for advertising and for a telecom company, this is the simplest if not most cost effective. If anyone feels the messages too burdensome, they can switch to another telecom company that does not do so but business must go on. jmunane@aol.com
