I am getting tired of people, who stop suddenly while walking on the street without thinking about others using the street. Unlike cars, human beings do not have brake lights and so, when you stop suddenly; it becomes hard for me not to bump into you. And don’t tell me about walking a distance from you; I have better things to do. Traffic police is always trying to look out for car accidents. In the meantime, The Hater is so disgusted by human traffic accidents in Kigali. …think I am interested in talking to everyone they talk to. My job is to hate and I am comfortable with it. The Hater is not at all interested in talking to people just for the sake. I am talking about people with the habit of asking me to ‘help’ and talk to the person they are talking to on phone. After running out of words, they shove the phone in your face with that sheepish smile, “Please talk to John…” Well, I don’t want to. If I had wanted, I would have called them myself. Just because you are using MTN zone or Rwandatel’s Ntukupe per unit, does not mean I should talk to your friends. …confuse customers for visitors. The customer care attitudes of some people in this country are simply sickening. Such people are just going to make it hard for us to achieve our Vision 2020 goals. It is very annoying to find someone working in a bank or office delaying to attend to you, and further wasting your time with stale conversations. These people should know that if I had wanted a conversation, then I would have called them or visited them at home. Please attend to me fast, because I have serious business to attend to. Yes, the business of hating part time thinkers like you is urgent. …think that fighting is a type of dialogue. There is no way I was going to end today’s column without talking about those TP Mazembe players, who turned a football match into a village fight. I am told that TP stands for Tout Puissant which means all powerful. However, I thought it applied to their football strength and not that killer double footed kick that one of them donated to the poor referee. These guys especially that chap called Mputu (big headed in Luganda) are indeed thick headed. I would have preferred Lingala dance strokes to the endless blows and kicks. And if I may ask, how many goals did they score by fighting? Mputu has no answer. I wonder what type of training these guys have before a match. …take on jobs they cannot manage. I think I am doing my hating job quite well otherwise my editor would have put something else on this page. That said I really hate people who pretend to do a job they cannot really manage. Did you guys see that weak policeman, who was thrown to the ground by a TP Mazembe player during the scuffle at the stadium? The joker fell to the ground like a sack of dry beans! It is such guys who make people (especially Congolese) to conclude that our police force is full of weaklings. He should surrender his blue uniform, and return to the police school for more training.
