In our issue of May 20, 2010, we reported that Kigali City Council is seeking Rwf 300m in tax arrears from GOBOKA, a local housing cooperative society in Kibagabaga, Kimironko sector in Gasabo district. We have since learnt that it’s not GOBOKA but the residents, who acquired land in this area, that owe the City authorities this money. GOBOKA is simply facilitating Kigali City Council in tax collection in the area. Ends
