Sgt. Robert to launch solo album

Sgt. Robert, real name Robert Kabera is set to launch his debut solo album ‘Kama Jeshi’ on July 4, 2010. You probably know him in Rwanda’s Army Jazz Band, but Sgt. Robert seems he wants to try his ability as a solo artist. “I’m still in the Army Jazz Band, though at the same time I want to start working on my own compositions and shows,” Sgt. Robert told The New Times. The singer, also famous for his ‘Weekend’ track said he has already contacted local and Ugandan artists, who will perform during his concert to launch the album. The concert will be held at the Expo’s parking ground, at Amahoro stadium in Remera. Tom Close, Kitoko and King James (local), and Uganda’s GNL Zamba of the Goodlyfe crew and Rabadaba famous for his ‘Bwekiri’ track are some of the artists, who will grace Sgt. Robert’s concert. “I owe my fans a lot of fun during the launch of my debut album, and I’m doing all possible to make the show worthy attending,” Sgt. Robert added. Ends
