IN BRIEF : SOGEM seeks to increase market share

SOGEM, Rwanda’s leading producer of paper bags says it plans to increase production capability in order to strengthen its position in the market. Following the national ban of polythene bags in 2006, SOGEM received $180,000 (Rwf102.4m) from GroFin Rwanda to execute its business plan that would serve wholesalers and retailers with appropriate means of packaging their goods.
