Police arrest notorious bully

RWAMAGANA - A former genocide convict, Jean Baptiste Ntakiyuwunva, locally known as Mbozi, was over the weekend arrested by police, for terrorising residents of Nyarubuye village in Fumbwe sector. He is currently being held at Rwamagana police station.“This man has been terrorising everyone in this village, since he was released from prison. He had warned before that he will put us in trouble…to our dismay, this morning we woke up to find the national flag missing,” Sandrine Muhongayire, Nyarubuye Executive Secretary. The flag was later found in his in-law’s house were he had planted it to frame him because they are not on good terms. “He beats his mother, relatives, smokes marijuana, vandalises people’s property…everyone is afraid of him, in short he is a big menace in our village,” she said. Florence Byukusenge, one of the residents of Nyarubuye, said that the man had threatened to kill her on a number of occasions. She said that even local leaders feared him so much that no one dared to touch him. “The days of a thug are numbered; this is a man who had made himself untouchable. Let nobody deceive you, most of these men and women fear him like hell,” she said. “Now that he is in the hands of police, it will give many a good night sleep.” Ends
