Local leaders, parents warned over alcohol abuse

RWAMAGANA – The Governor of Eastern Province, Dr. Ephraim Kabaija, has criticised local leaders and parents for failing to root out the persistent problem of drug and alcohol abuse in the province.  “We have to expose and punish these people who want to hold us at ransom. Community policing committees must be vigilant in this regard. Parents too, will be held accountable if they allow minors to drink or buy alcohol,” he said.
