LISA'S ADVENTURES : A sweet surprise for mum

“Now I know what I have to do,” said Lisa. For several days, Lisa had been seeing a big gap between her father and mother. She could not really tell what was wrong, but Lisa was sure about her dad’s misconduct. For the past three weeks, Lisa’s parents had been at loga heads. A cold war was on, though they never wanted to show it. The two were at the edge of breaking up. Lisa had asked her mum about it, but the response wasn’t satisfactory. “You are too young to understand this but it’s about your dad,” Lisa’s mum said. Since then, Lisa’s little heart was aching, seeking for a solution for the once happy family. Should I hate daddy? How about us? Lisa wondered. Finally, she knew what to do. “Kids can also play a role in re-uniting breaking homes,” Lisa shouted. The excitement made Lisa talk to herself! The perfect plan was surprising her mother, on women’s day. As Lisa, briefed her bigger sister, the core aim was to treat their mother like a queen, so that Lisa’s dad would realize what was lacking. “Give her the roses when dad is with her in the living room,” Lisa said. When Lisa’s mother woke up to see an extremely tidy house, she barely believed that her two little girls could ever do that. “You are proving that you are growing up,” she exclaimed. Uhm, more surprises awaited! After that, her mum went out for a walk; she came home to find a well laid dinning table, full of tasty food. “Its lunch time mum,” said Lisa’s sister.By this time, their mother was short of words. The girls were really surprising her! Though lunch was served in their dad’s absence, Lisa’s mother felt so happy. “Mum, what would you like to have for super,” teased Lisa. Then, their dad was back, busy reading through news papers, like he always did. Before the mum’s response, Lisa’s sister dashed from the kitchen, with a half wrapped bowel. “I demand that Lisa washes your feet before I unwrap this,” she said. Lisa quickly acted as per her sister’s orders. Together, they unwrapped the bowel. “Oh my…It’s a little cake,” Lisa’s mum said.She could no longer hold the tears of joy. The girls handed over rose flowers and two petite cards to their mum. “You are the best mum in the world,” read one card. The other read, “I love you mummy, happy women’s day.” The two girls explained that they had saved for this, since the past four months. “We fore went break at school to keep the money,” said Lisa. Like the initial plan, their father was so touched. “My daughters have challenged me. Why hadn’t I realized my wife’s worth,” he kept saying. Currently, Lisa’s dad is a changed man. “He is the best dad in the world,” Lisa says. Ends
