He opened his pro career with the Classic Kenya Open in April before engaging in the Uganda Open and Crane bank Open both held in Uganda. After mixed results in both the Kenya and Uganda Open, Ruterana rewarded his supportive sponsors BCR and Computer point with a remarkable performance in the Crane Bank event. He finished second in the event and walked away with US$650 estimated at Frw 357.500 worth of cash prize. The Sunshine Tour which is part of the annual men’s professional golf tour runs from September 13-15. For much of its history it was known either as the South African Tour or the First National Bank Tour, but it re-branded itself in an attempt to broaden its appeal. The tour is one of the six leading men’s tours which make up the International Federation of Professional Golfers Association (PGA) Tours. ENDS
