On top of footing the team’s air tickets, it has also supplemented this offer with some cash.“But we are still Frw 7million short of our budget and we call upon all well-wishers to help us in anyway they can,” Owuor ‘cried’ out. Twelve clubs have lined up for the continental event that gets underway this Thursday in the Angolan capital Luanda. APR, who are one of the event’s underdogs are seeded in group A alongside last year’s runners-up Primero De Agosto (Angola), Interclube (Angola), ASPAC (Benin), M.B.C (Guinea), ASB Kauka (DR. Congo) and APR.The other group (B) has defending champions Petro Atletico (Angola), Nigeria’s Niger Potters, Ivory Coast’s Abidjan, Stade Malien (Mali), BC Onatra (DR. Congo) and Ferroviario Da Beira (Mozambique).The Fiba-Africa Club Championship is considered to be the biggest club competition on the Fiba calendar and the winner qualifies for next year’s Fiba-world club championships.
