Euro zone predicts fragile economy in year 2010 By Ngamije Festo The economy of the euro zone predicts weaker growth in 2010. The economy of eurozone will grow by about 1 percent, this year acording to the head of the 16-nation bloc. Growth in 2010 will be fragile, moderate, according to Jean Claude Juncker the President of euro group. The eurozone was hit hard by the economic recession last year, contracting by 4 percent, and its largest jump down since the euro lauched in 1999. Ministers are also deciding how to lend a hand Greece, whose poor public finances have put the euro under pressure. Leaders of the European Union last week pledged to support the country, but stopped short of detailing any exact proposal. Mr. Juncker- also Luxembourg’s prime minister- alleged that the nations sharing the single currency would not be revealing information of their planned bail-out for Greece. Corporate business breakfast today Business Times Correspondent Kigali City will be today morning be hosting the first business breakfast in Rwanda. The function which is meant to take place between 7am and end 9 am at Serena Hotel Kigali, will converge ‘movers and shakers’ of the private sector in Rwanda. The organisers of the corporate meeting said that the event is held as a way of cultivating a corporate culture in Rwanda. “We need to see the private companies taking common good initiatives that celebrates their institutions and what they stand for and importantly creates a platform to compliment the initiatives of the Private Sector Federation,” said Henry Rugamba the event organiser.
