Minister calls for consolidation of gender gains

KIGALI - The Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, Jeanne d’Arc Mujawamariya Saturday called upon women to strive for greater empowerment if they are to consolidate their current achievements in gender equality. Speaking during an environmental protection activity organised by the National Women Council in Kimisagara, the Minister commended the efforts fronted by government in the promotion of women empowerment and gender equality. “We have achieved a lot in realising gender equality and girl child education. However, there is still a gap,” the minister said.
