Global Fund commits $400m to fight AIDS,TB
KIGALI - Rwanda’s four year National Strategic Plan on HIV/Aids and the fight against Tuberculosis (TB), which is estimated to cost over US$887, has been boosted by the US-funded health initiative, Global Fund (GF), to the tune of US $431m. Speaking to The New Times, the Executive Secretary of the National Aids Control Commission (CNLS), Dr. Anita Asiimwe, confirmed the development and revealed that negotiations between the government and the GF are still ongoing.
