School girl survives buffalo attack

KAYONZA – A Senior Two student at Ndego Secondary School is lucky to still be alive after a stray buffalo from Akagera National Park attacked her as she was cutting cattle fodder on Wednesday. Adeline Uwimana, sustained injuries on the stomach and was rushed to Ndego Health Centre for treatment. The incident is the latest in a string of attacks by stray animals on residents living near the park. A few days back a hippopotamus killed a man tending to his garden.
