Editor, There is an email circulating in the Washington DC area about a gang that is placing a baby car-seat on the side of the highways knowing that motorists will definitely stop to help. The real baby (in the car seat) is covered in fake blood to simulate injuries requiring urgent attention. When passing motorists stop the distressed “mother” emerges from the surrounding bush accompanied by armed hoodlums. The motorists are then robbed.
