Commercial Courts dispose over 80 percent of cases

In just one and a half years since their establishment , the commercial courts have completed 81.5 percent of the cases received. Of the 6,806 total cases received 3, 333 cases were  backlog cases while 3,473 were new cases handled by the commercial courts from May to November  30th 2009. “Cases are now handled very quickly! Some of these backlog cases were pending in other courts for more than 8-10 years, the Vice President of the Commercial High Court , Benoit Gatete told Business Times in an interview.
