Crime dropped by 6% in 2009

Criminal cases reported to the Police dropped by more than six percent in the country last year. This was announced in the annual police crime report released yesterday. Close to 12,000 crimes were recorded by police in 2009 countrywide with cases of drug and alcohol abuse topping the list with 2,400 cases. Marijuana, illicit liquor and sniffing of petroleum products were the culprits.
