DAYS after signing Aloua Gaseruka, Sudanese club El Merreikh is bidding to acquire the services of Rwanda’s international goalkeeper Jean Luc Ndayishimiye from APR.A reliable source told Times Sport that Ndayishimiye, commonly known as Bakame is on the wanted list for the rich Sudanese club. Merreikh, who will feature in next year’s African Champions league want Bakame to boost their squad. However, the ten-time league champions have rubbished reports saying that the Amavubi Stars first choice goalie is staying with the military side. APR Secretary General Adolph Kalisa admitted yesterday that they talked with El Merreikh about the former Atraco man’s situation but that nothing was agreed because the player is not for sale. “We talked with El Merreikh officials over the player’s transfer which is impossible at this time. If they wanted the player, they would have come in the right time of transfer window. “How can we let him (Ndayishimiye) go after spending a lot of money on him to join us just a few months ago,” Kalisa wondered. “We have included him in our plans for this season, which includes the African Champions League, national league and other local competitions, so we can’t sell him right now,” Kalisa said, adding that if El Merreikh comes back at the end of the season, maybe they could sell. Ndayishimiye played an outstanding role as he guided Atraco to this year’s Kagame Cup title beating El Merreikh in the final. The Sudanese champions are ready to spend any amount on the young shot-stopper if APR are willing to do business. Barely a month ago, El Merreikh signed Amavubi Stars defender Aloua Gaseruka from on a two-year contract.Like Bakame, Gaseruka was an integral part of the Atraco team that won the Kagame Cup in Khartoum.
