RELATIONSHIPS : Be her perfect gift this Christmas

As holidays come, questions of what to give your spouse might be running in your mind and you might not know if they will probably like what you have bought them. While trying to find that perfect gift to give your spouse there is only one gift that will cost you nothing but time. Giving her a gift for Christmas would be the most perfect opportunity to express your feelings for your wife but maybe she needs you around more than that. Your spouse wants to see the glimmer of the person that walked down the aisle and said ‘I do’ and that is you. The most perfect thing she would want from you is you being with her and sharing all the fun together and not merely the fancy gifts from the most expensive shop in town.She might want to have the romantic, intimate and passionate, selfless love that drew you together in the first place. Much as you love spending such moments having fun with your male friends at the bar, make Christmas different this time round. Be her special treat. Paul has always had Christmas with his friends in Uganda and he feels it is not great fun staying here yet he does not want go with his wife because he thinks she does not mind being left behind. However, Fiona feels so left out even when she does not say so in words. Paul is torn apart, Fiona suggests they stay together for once this season but he feels he will be missing out on the fun. He therefore has to choose to either stay with his wife or go and have fun with his friends in Uganda. If a friend knows what their friends want for special occasions, a husband is supposed to know what his wife would want on such matters. Why is it that after the marriage vows are made many couples let the sparkle fade; is that what you got married for or you sometimes feel the mood will simply keep alive because you said ‘I do’ We all want to have fun when it comes to holidays especially Christmas and who would not wish to enjoy the Birth of Jesus Christ with splendid fun each year? However, that does not mean leaving your spouse in pain with loneliness. Relations are complex and often unpredictable. However one thing is absolutely certain, if you do not work on your marriage it will die. Remember marriage is a living, breathing thing just like a plant; without getting enough water it will wither and later die. If you have ever tried to revive a plant that is about to die you know it is not easy and sometimes even impossible. It is much easier to look after it on a daily basis so it does not loose life. This Christmas give your spouse the gift of yourself.
