ON THE COVER : Thierry Nzamurambaho

This Sunday, a professional flight attendant graces our cover. Those who regularly travel with Rwandair might be familiar with the name Thierry Nzamurambaho. The 30-year-old is also the co-proprietor of Happy People, a local events organiser. Happy People formed in 2004, aims at bringing together all Rwandans from across the world through parties. Nzamurambaho was born and raised in Bujumbura-Burundi, and is the second born and only boy in a family of four children. He is an alumnus of the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). He is married and a father of one. “My wife and I are anxiously waiting for a new baby due to be born on December 28,” Nzamurambaho says with excitement. He enjoys spending time with his family whenever he is not at work. He loves spending time at the beach and confesses that he sometimes escapes Kigali with family, or friends to Gisenyi, Bujumbura or Mombassa for fun. The end of every year finds him at a beach. “However, this end of year I won’t go anywhere because I’m busy preparing for the end of year Diaspora party,” he says. The party is scheduled to take place on December 31 at the Telecom House, Kacyiru, and at least 1000 Rwandans, from South Africa, Europe, Belgium and Canada are expected to attend. Nzamurambaho is in the class of the average trendy men. His favourite casual apparels are faded blue jeans, and classy shirts/T-shirts, with Fendi sneakers. Ends
