A day in the life of.... : Ester Kronsbein

Ester Kronsbein is the Coordinator of Human Help Network (HHN) Rwanda. It’s a non-governmental organization supporting different communities. Below, she tells how she manages her typical working day. I am always awake by 6a.m. I make sure I look at the face of my husband before anything else. I then prepare myself for a shower and breakfast. By 7:30 I leave home for work. I check my mails as soon as I get in the office. Given the nature of my work, the program is dynamic. I may be a bit free in the morning and very busy after mid-day. My work involves getting information on social projects, making decisions on various issues after making consultations with staff members and a lot more.I have lunch at mid-day. The official time to close work is 5p.m, but I sometimes continue until 7 depending on what I had on the agenda. Sometimes I directly go home, to a restaurant or meet friends. However, by 8p.m I will be home to start preparing supper. I then refresh myself and have supper by 9. Before I go to bed, I must read either a novel or any relevant information.I get to bed between 10 and 11p.m. mgoyag@yahoo.com
