Rwanda Cricket Association (RCA) will assemble at Nyarutarama tennis club today for their Annual General Meeting.Top on the agenda are elections of new office bearers and according to the RCA president Charles Haba, there will be fresh elections for the RCA executive committee.“Normally, the RCA executive committee has a two year’s tenure in office. The present committee assumed office in 2005 and so will be making way for new faces this Saturday,” Haba told Times Sport on Thursday.Ahead of the AGM, Haba who has been at the helm of RCA since 2000 has made it clear that he has no intentions of standing for another term of office.“There’s need for change. I have been in office since 2000 and feel that it’s time for fresh blood to take over. “We have come a long way since 2000 and hope that the new executive will carry on from where we have stopped,” he continued. Other issues on the agenda include presentation of minutes of previous AGM, a report on activities in 2007 and financial report of 2007 amongst others.Ends
