Genocide fugitive gets life sentence in absentia
KARONGI - A Gacaca Court in Bisesero has sentenced another prominent wealthy businessman in Karongi District, to first degree life imprisonment for his role in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Abel Bigaruka, who was sentenced in absentia, was found guilty of actively participating in various killings in Bisesero, former Kibuye Prefecture.
