Editor,We, Senior 4 students of Institut Don Bosco Kabarondo, Kayonza District, want to talk about the change of the medium of teaching. Previously, most teachers taught everything in French but now everything is in English; we want to talk about that change. At the beginning, the situation was very difficult for us students, who were in S4 and S1, but now it is not as difficult as it used to be. We see that the change of the language of instruction is very important because Rwanda is in the East African Community. So, if someone goes to another country where they speak English, it will be easy for them to communicate with the people they meet. That change can also help students when they finish their studies. Most especially if, for example, they become businessmen/women they will find that communication will come easier for them. For students who are in S4 and S1, and are studying in English for the first, we want to encourage the government to construct many libraries which contains English book to help our students learn the new language well. Yours Sincerely, Students of Senior 4, Institut Don Bosco Kabarondo, Kayonza District
