The School of Finance and Banking beauty Queen, Joan Ingabire, over the weekend donated about Rwf 0.5m worth of food items and bedding to the orphans of Nyamirambo, Rugarama Cellule. The funds were raised last month at a concert by local musicians. “We sat down and tried to think of what we can do and then we came up with the idea of organizing the concert and collect money to help those in a need, especially orphans,” revealed Ingabire. Speaking on behalf of the recipients, the head of the orphans, Donatien Mukingi, said, “This assistance comes in a crucial moment when the students are coming back from schools.” He further urged SFB students to keep up the kind hearts.According to Mukingi, their biggest challenge is lack of housing.
