RELATIONSHIPS : Chasing what you can never have

It was this dude in the neighbourhood who walked in, in the middle of the night and stole her heart. His smile was too charming to be ignored. How would she have fallen head over hills for someone she barely knew? What was the magic that he used to win her heart since she had kept a clean record of being a Holy Mary who was never interested in guys? Though skeptical, Mary {not real name} took a leap of faith to tell him about how she felt. She explained to him that he was her first crush. That’s why his response would mean much to her. Mr. X in question was as he could be. Open with her! Its not that Mary was new to his sight but he simply never felt the same way. He however promised giving it a chance; afterall feelings would develop during the long run! Mr. X kept seeing other girls and whenever Mary questioned, he reminded her about the fact that he was never in love with her. Sadly, poor Mary ended up losing the battle. Mary represents many out there who think that being crazy about someone makes them equally crazy for you! When it comes to love, it’s very correct to learn loving someone who loves you than loving a person who promises to learn loving you. The worst mistake love ever gives is reaching for what you can never get! ‘Cutting one’s coat according to their cloth’ isn’t far fetched when it comes to true love. If we are to look through people’s love history, many never get hurt because their lovers betrayed them. They are hurt because they chose to hang around lovers who have never loved them one bit! Anyway, a person who truly loves you will always care about your feelings. They will never hurt you intentionally. The thing is, many follow their hearts like they say and end up doing all sorts of crazy things in the name of winning ‘lovers’ hearts’! A friend, one time was invited for a meal prepared by a person who confidently thought he was the boyfriend ; because of the sympathy she felt for him, she went for the meal but promising she would just have a little of it since she had a dinner date with the love of her life! “I just hate hurting his feelings but he is too young for my liking. Generally I don’t feel anything for him,” she plainly said. This created speculation! Do people prefer having pity for them than loving them truly and for who they are? Its common knowing that someone is using you but you hang in there hoping they will change one day! Cooking, spinning cash all over the place or reminding them how much you care will never win someone’s heart.Love is just natural. There is no such thing like maturing love! It either was existent in the first place or it will never exist at all. No matter how much you cry and you ask about who so and so means to them, still it will not help. You’ll waste your time, hurt the more and by the time you’re done with all this drama, even the people who truly loved will have given up the chase. Yes love and heartbreaks happen but if you ignite your own downfall, it arouses questions. Love is a two way thing, either love those who can love you back or give it up. Ends
