According to Romeo Rapstar, the long awaited album simply takes its listeners through his music journey and Nganji, as well as showcasing the richness of the new wave produced by the young generation. “Even though each one of us is an artiste on their own with specific ambitions, we wanted to represent a feeling of satisfaction of us as we pursue our music achievement and accomplishment which we used to consider hard or difficult when we were starting, at the same time enjoying our journey to greatness for our careers together with our entourage,’’ Dr Nganji told The New Times, while discussing the idea to collaborate on the album production. Nganji who is also a recording engineer and founder of Green Ferry also said that each song on the project has a unique production process and collaborations, as artistes are diverse. Ihaho was produced in different genres from Afropop to Drill, Trap and HipHop. Nganji is also credited to be the pioneer of a subgenre of hip hop music called Kinyatrap, a local variation of Trap Music, in which local artistes rap in Kinyarwanda over trap melodies. Some of his past light works include Bushali's debut album ‘Nyiramubande’ and After Doze, an album that he produced in 2019. Tracks on Ihaho making rounds include Umwotoro, Ihaho, One more Time, Suwinaha, and Gucci Brother among others.
