South African firms are not the only ones eligible

EDITOR, In The New Times newspaper published on Friday, September 25, 2009 in a story on page 4, you misquoted the Minister of Public Service and Labour in the article titled “S.A firm to formulate policy on skills gap’’. In this story, it was reported that “Preparations are underway by the Ministry of Public Service and Labour to contract a South African firm to formulate a policy and implementation strategy of bridging the wide skills gap that exits in the country. This was revealed yesterday by the Minister of Public Service and Labour, Anastase Murekezi. ‘On October 10, 2009 we will invite different South African companies to present their proposals and we shall choose from these, he said.’ This is an open market; every firm all over the world is eligible to the competition. Up to now bids are coming in and different firms are submitting their proposals to provide the consulting services to formulate a National Human Resources and Skills Development Policy/Strategy and Implementation Action Plan for Rwanda.The competition is not limited to South African firms In your story you called Mr. KARAKE Charles the Director of HIDA.
