Kigali Volleyball Club coach Jean Marie Nsengiyumva has urged his players to overcome what he called the ‘APR fear factor’ if they are to stand any chance of winning a trophy this season. The Rafiki based club will take on their arch-nemesis APR in the Coupe de Rwanda final on Saturday and Nsengiyumva is optimistic that if his players can overcome the physiological notion of feeling inferior to the league champions, then they will triumph. “I have very good players but the problem is sometimes they have this belief that APR is a superior team. Right now, I’m trying to prepare them psychologically. “We must believe in our ability to beat them (APR) and that is one of the strategies that we will be using to overcome the Champions.”Nsengiyumva said. KVC, who dominated the sport in the late 90s have not won a trophy in the last three years. APR (women) will take on Rwanda Revenue Authority in the ladies’ fray of the Coupe de Rwanda final. Ends
