Guess who rocked Planet Club on Thursday night? Ok, you don’t have to if you were there, but if you weren’t, you really missed a lot. International celebrated DJ Bernarzo was in the club. And guess what? He mixed hip-hop and reggae till early hours of Friday morning, alongside DJ Kadir, a local famous DJ. Clad in baggie pairs of blue jeans with the trendy oversized red T-shirt and cap, DJ Bernarzo visited The New Times’ head offices yesterday. A Ugandan celebrity based in the US said that he started his career after completing the High School. He used to perform with Uganda’s Jose Chameleon, but later moved to Rwanda in 1997. He started performing in popular hotels and nightclubs, including Mille Colline and Cadillac. DJ Bernarzo said that he enjoyed his time as a DJ in Rwanda because that is when he became famous. However, he said that he used be paid peanuts and moved to Burundi. There, he worked in all the big clubs, like, Casanova and Havanah. From Burundi, he went to Washington DC, US, but later flew to Boston, where he joined a famous Ugandan nightspot called Kampala Club. He owns a nightspot called Babylon Club, in Maine, US, where he stays with his wife and son. Ends
