Ex-district leader held over genocide A local court in Karengera sector in Rusizi district yesterday opened case against former district leader alleged to have played a role in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. According to sources within the sector, the then district leader used to support the Interahamwe militias to kill Tutsis in the district he headed.
