IT was a rough outing for Rwanda’s U-20 team after finishing a distant 5th in the just ended Challenge Cup in Bujumbura, Burundi. The team finished 5th in the eight-nation tournament which was won by hosts Burundi. The national handball federation technical director Justin Habumuremyi has however defended the team insisting that there is a bright future ahead. “It was the first competitive tournament for the boys but the signs look good for the future,” he said. The low point of the tournament came when Djibouti were disqualified for fielding over-age players. Ethiopia finished second, Uganda third while Kenya came fourth.Tanzania, Sudan and Somalia finished sixth, seventh and eighth respectively. Ends
