RWANDA’S football body, Ferwafa will today hold its annual general assembly at Laico Umubano Hotel in Kigali. The general assembly will assess the federation’s programs as well as review last season’s activities and discuss the coming season’s action plan. Further still, it will review the financial report and the Ferwafa president’s report and any changes in the rules governing the game among other issues. One of the most controversial issues up for debate is the number of foreign players currently featuring in different top flight clubs. It has also been reported that the general assembly will come up with a concrete solution to the national football league sponsorship problem. Ferwafa has been in talks with telecom giants MTN to take over next season’s league. The federation has been on the lookout for sponsors ever since 2005/06 season when Bralirwa through its Primus brand cancelled sponsorship of the league. Ends
