Prosecution drops charges against Sen. Mukabaranga

GASABO - Prosecution has decided to withdraw the case involving former Sen. Beatrice Mukabaranga, who was arrested and later released from jail for allegedly issuing bouncing cheques.Mukabaranga resigned from her seat in the Senate several weeks ago to pave way for investigations into the allegations, she was later arrested and detained for about 10 days.The Spokesman of the Prosecution Augustin Nkusi said that Mukabaranga was released after paying back all debts and an additional fine.
