RUSIZI — The District Advisory Council (DAC) has sacked five district officials over alleged incompetence. The council president, Joseph Bahenda, said the decision was reached after an assessment revealed that the performance of the affected officials was below average. The officers interdicted include directors of education, taxation, economic planning, cooperatives and the district veterinary officer. “Based on the assessment undertaken these five employees have been sacked with effect from this month. We can’t tolerate those with below average performance,” said Bahenda. The same meeting suspended five executive secretaries of Muganza, Nkungu Gihundwe and Nyakarenzo sectors over the allegations that they are incompetent to execute their duties. Ends
