Amavubi Stars skipper Olivier Karekezi has flown to the UK for is set to undergo professional trials with English League Two club Notts County. According to Norwegian media, HA-Sport reportedly said that Karekezi, who has been waiting for international clearance in the past weeks, flew to England on Thursday where he will hold talks and undergo several trials with Notts County. “A couple of coincidences has meant that Olivier Karekezi now have a golden chance to convince Sven Goran Eriksson that he can take the club up in the English league system. “There have been some problems with visas, but it should be okay. It is exciting for Karekezi show up for Svennis,” Ham Kam sports coordinator Svein Inge Haagenrud said. Accordingly, Karekezi will train with the city’s other teams, Nottingham Forest, but Haagenrud could not confirm this. “We only know Nott County interest and we have worked a lot with this now,” Haagenrud urged.
