Rwanda’s Gervais Hakizimana is among the top athletes who will compete in a 15km race in Congo Brazzaville tomorrow. The Belgian based runner told Times Sport through an e-mail that he was invited to take part in the Brazzaville race due to his impressive performance in last month’s event held in the Belgian city of Bouzouls. “I have been competing and winning races here (Belgium), so I’m optimistic of finishing in a good position in Brazzaville. “The race will also help me in my quest for the minimum required qualifications for the 2012 Olympics Games in London,” Hakizimana’s e-mail read in part. The former APR runner also runs in the steeple chase category, and recently won a steeple chase race in France. Ends
