The Equity Market The Rwanda OTC market today the 10th of August 2009 recorded no transaction at the close of business. Friday 7th of August, Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) had a total of 478,500 KCB shares traded. KCB shares traded between 21.25 Kshs(Rwf158) and Kshs 22.25(Rwf165) to close slightly high at 21.75 Kshs( Rwf166) along with the rest of the market which broke the downward trend of the few previous days. The NSE all share indexes closed 0.17 points up but traded on lower volumes than the previous day; 8,304,900 shares traded on Friday versus 13,267,000 shares on Thursday. DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares. The Bond Market: The bond market continues to be quiet as no transactions have been recorded. At the close of the business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively. There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50. Ends
