Editor, It was so frustrating to read in The New Times of July 31, that teachers in Karongi had not been paid for up to seven months. This should be an embarrassment to the people in the ministries of Education, Public Service, Finance and any other institution charged with processing these salaries. These people have the responsibility of nurturing Rwanda’s future generation. By not paying them, it sends out the message that their efforts are not recognised and yet they play a very important role. I look forward to reading that all salary arrears have been credited to the teachers accounts and they are happy again. Shema KamanziRwamagana
