Rwanda’s top cyclist Adrien Niyonshuti has intensified his preparations ahead of the Tour of Ireland scheduled for August 21-23. The 29 year-old, based in South Africa will ride for his club-MTN Energade cycling team at the three-day event that will be graced by over 112 international cyclists including seven time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong, who is also being courted to attend the Tour de Rwanda in November. The National Cycling Federation (Ferwacy) technical director Jonathan Boyer who also doubles as the Team Rwanda coach told Times Sport that Niyonshuti is training three days a week. “He (Niyonshuti) is training well. We are putting him through all the paces that will help him in the competition,” Boyer said.Tour of Ireland will be held in three stages covering 196km, 185km and 195km respectively. Ends
