Seasoned coach Henry Mwinuka has set a goal for himself to guide his new club Tigers BBC to the playoffs of the 2025 Rwanda Basketball League. The Tanzanian tactician joined the club recently on a two-year contract, crossing over from local powerhouse Patriots. Over the past few days, Mwinuka has been leading the team's training sessions as he tries to build a new team ready enough for the new season which begins on January 24. About 40 percent of Tigers’ players have left and the club had to replace them with new talents from Rwanda and abroad. Mwinuka admitted that it could take him some days to find his dream team, considering that his new roster comprises a lot of new players. “We added a lot of young players,” he told Times Sport. “It will take me like three weeks, you know, but I believe maybe next week we will be fine.” ALSO READ: Niyonkuru, Ntwari join Tigers ahead of 2025 season Among fresh faces in Tigers’ roster are forward Dan Kimasa, Bruno Shema, and Marius Ntwari who all joined the club from APR as well as Pascal Niyonkuru who moved from Rwanda Energy Group (REG). Last season, Tigers missed the playoff slot in the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL) playoffs after finishing fifth in the regular season.
