It was a fair weekend for some of Rwandan players plying their trade at various teams abroad. Midfielder Bonheur Mugisha was the engine for Stade Tunisien who beat Soliman 2-0 to stay at the summit of Tunisian Ligue 1 while Patrick Sibomana, Samuel Gueulette also had impressive outings for their respective teams. Times Sport takes a look at Rwanda's standout performers abroad over the weekend. Bonheur Mugisha (Stade Tunisien, Tunisia) Defensive midfielder Bonheur Mugisha was instrumental for Tunisian Ligue 1 leaders Stade Tunisien who traveled to the Municipal Stadium to post a convincing 2-0 win over Soliman on Saturday. The former APR FC star had 90 minutes of action and bossed the midfield as the win moved his side at the top of the table with 33 points, just one point clear of second-placed Club Africain. Mugisha has made 12 league appearances for his club so far this season and scored twice in the process. He started all the games and was never substituted. ALSO READ: Mugisha settling for life at new club Stade Tunisien Samuel Gueulette (Raal La Louviere, Belgium) Central midfielder Samuel Gueulette played 70 minutes for promotion chasing Raal La Louviere who held Beveren to a goalless draw. Raal La Louviere are second on the Belgian Challenger Pro League table with 34 points after 19 games. Gueulette was efficient in midfield against Beveren as his team secured a deserved away draw. They trail league leaders Zulte Waregem by 6 points. Olivier Kwizera (Al Kawkab, Saudi Arabia) Kwizera pulled a series of fine saves as his side Al Kawkab picked an away 1-1 draw against Al Taraji. The Rwandan shot stopper has conceded 15 goals in 19 league games so far this season. His side currently sits in fourth place on the Saudi Arabia second tier league table with 32 points. Elsewhere, winger Patrick Sibomana came in for Malek Al Hasi in the 46th minute as his side El Ettihad Al Misrati beat Al Khums 1-0. Anicet Ishimwe was handed a starting berth by Olympique Beja new coach Tareq Jaraya. He lasted 57 minutes in their goalless draw with CA Bizertin. Defender Ange Mutsinzi saw 90 minutes of action for Zira FK who lost 4-2 to Qarabag. They will face Araz Naxcivan when the second round of Azerbaijani League begins on February 8.
