Rwanda international Arthur Gitego says he will not leave Kenyan powerhouse AFC Leopards despite recent push to move out of the club. The former Marines FC striker has come under intense pressure from the fans as he is yet to find the back of the net this season and, as a result, he requested the club management to be released. ALSO READ: Unhappy Gitego wants move out of AFC Leopards The club, however, made it clear that it has no plans to let him go until his contract expires in December. The striker has now accepted to honor his full contract, saying, I am under contract and I will honor the full duration. I am not leaving the club. I came to Rwanda for holidays and I just returned, Gitego told Times Sport. Surely I will get back on track and start scoring again as the season progresses. Gitego, 23, joined AFC Leopards from Rwanda Premier League side Marines FC on February 2, 2024. He had other offers from FC Gagra of Georgia, Bizertin of Tunisia as well as Macedonian side FC Shkupi.
