He was also on APR FC’s radar before signing his countrymen Denis Omedi and Hakim Kiwanuka on Wednesday, January 7. According to reports from Ugandan media outlets, Rayon Sports are in talk with the player in an attempt to reinforce their attacking force with countryman Charles Bbaale currently facing injuries. A move to Rayon would see him add more spark in attack, joining forwards Fall Ngagne who currently leads the scoring charts with 8 goals as well as Hadji Iraguha who has five goals to his name so far this campaign. Bayo scored 15 goals in 24 appearances for Vipers during the 2019/2020 season before his move to Czech Republic. He won the Fufa Super Cup and Uganda Premier League during his time at Vipers. He also scored one goal for Uganda Cranes during the ongoing 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Rayon is looking forward to strengthen the team in the January transfer window, as they continue their chase for the first league title since 2019 when current coach Robertinho was in charge. The Blues now lead the table with 36 points, five points clear of arch rivals APR FC who are second. Their next test is a trip to Huye Stadium where they will face Mukura VS on Saturday, January 11. The mid-season transfer window of the 2024/2025 season officially opened on January 3 and will run through January 31.
