God is most often conceived of as the supernatural creator and overseer of the universe. Theologians have ascribed a variety of attributes to the many different conceptions of God. The most common among these include omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, omni-benevolence (perfect goodness), divine simplicity, and eternal and necessary existence. Well, we have all grown up knowing God as a God of love, so full of grace and mercy, so caring and any positive thing you can think of. I can not refute that because he created us, he knows us and he loves each one of us in an adorable manner. Having read the bible keenly and studying the way things happen today, it makes me give God the other side. If you are a religious person, you have a right to read this in accordance to what I realized or refute my opinion. The God of destruction: Exodus 22:20, “He that sacrifices unto any god, save unto Jehovah only, shall be utterly destroyed.” Genesis 19: 24-25, “Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven; and he overthrew those cities, and all the Plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.” He was so furious that only the righteous were given a second chance to life like Lot and his children. Genesis 7: 4 “For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the ground.” God got so angry with the people and he then ordered Noah to build an ark, for whoever believes what he says, they will get in to the ark and be saved form the floods. Many didn’t believe his words and when the time came for the floods, only the family of Noah was saved since almost the whole earth was wiped. And many other occasions when God destroyed people off the face of the earth. Why God destroys? There are very many churches today and many of them are under the umbrella of making money. Some churches are equivalent to the number of retail shops in a small town. One man built a church and he was getting a lot of money from the congregants. Just like people say, “time will tell”, it said a lot after some time of his stay in that town. He kept on lying to the people about his powers and the way he is used by God but believe that God can never let his people perish or follow a wrong cult especially if they are innocent. With time people started suspecting his work and in just a fling of a second, he couldn’t be listened to any one and his church ran dry with out even a young boy of congregant. Time reached and he had to either go in another church for repenting or hung him self to death because he had became an outcast. This doesn’t mean there are no true Christians but the false ones seem fanatic and real too. These churches that are misleading many people are provoking Gods anger that later causes Him to destroy the nation or certain people. Worshiping of an idol can lead God to destruction of a city or a person. If you had some one you love so much, you give them every thing and make them what they are and they later come back to you for any help, but they don’t want to submit to you and love you rather focus their eyes on non-comparison matters. If one worshiped another idol like money, wealth, wife, husband or children, it’s enough to annoy God and cause him to spit all kinds of bitterness that lead to destruction. Exodus 20:3, “Thou shall have no other gods before me.” That means he can only accept worship for Him because that’s the only thing he has failed to do for Him self and He expects it from the man He created from His image. Whatever way you’re going to serve God, prioritizing other things over Him annoys Him and the worst or best he can do so that he regains his superiority. Disobedience: Some musician sang “parents are the earthly God”. Therefore, disobeying a parent or an elder is an equivalent of disobeying God. If you obey you enjoy lots of pleasure but if you disobey, you are liable to destruction. This is an indication that god doesn’t tolerate defiance of any kind. However, he gives an option of how to dodge destruction and that’s by doing the opposite of the reasons why he would destroy a nation or a person. Choose between the two. Ends
