…tend to make unnecessary generalisations. It is a very bad thing to be ‘blessed’ with a weak brain. I often come across lazy thinkers who love to generalise things that are hardly related Do you for instance know those bazungu who love to claim that they have been to ‘Africa’ yet in the actual sense they mean one country in the whole continent? Do they ever hear Africans saying they have been to Europe after visiting Paris or London? Some people observe only one incident and rush to conclude, “That is how all Rwandans behave.” It is these same fools who think all Chinese are karate experts or that all Brazilians are footballers. …are always complaining and lamenting about their problems. Let us face facts here. It’s really a great thing to have The Hater as your friend, but this does not give you unlimited bandwidth to suffocate me with your endless problems. I really hate all those weak souls that never talk about anything but their problems. What if I decided to revenge and started telling you my problems too? As an adult you ought to know that life sucks, we all have problems. If you need to tell someone your problems, try God or the government. Otherwise I suggest you shut up and get to work. Life is too short to be spent complaining. …insist on having traffic laws broken. Rwanda’s traffic officers can easily be considered the most effective in the Great Lakes region. Not with those no corruption badges they wear all the time. When such people are bent on doing a good job to keep our roads safe, I am left with no option but to hate whoever breaks the rules deliberately. For example, I always find these ignorant commuters who insist on entering a taxi even when it is clear that there is no space for them. Why not wait for the next taxi? After all this is not an ambulance that if it leaves you then you will die. …simply do not know how to communicate. A lot of time has been invested in infrastructural development aimed at improving human communication. It is therefore very disturbing to find that some people do not know how to use basic communication gadgets like the telephone. Oh how I hate all those people who adamantly refuse to answer their phones, do not call back when they find missed calls and do not communicate when they should. They cannot call you to say they are coming to see you and when you agree to meet, they do not bother to inform you in time in case they cannot make it. These antisocial people need to be arrested and kept far away for sure. …are always pressuring their children to get married. For your information, The Hater is a marriage-practicing bachelor. This refers to a bachelor that is practising to get married! If you still do not understand this, then you can check it up on page 512 of the Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary 6th edition. Back to business, I am really getting tired of all those parents with a habit of always pressuring their children to get married. Is this part of Rwanda’s Vision 2020? Don’t these parents have better things to do? Is the Pope married? Is the Hater married? Hey, let the kids take their time to make up their minds. Remember there is no hurry in Africa! (It’s not a generalisation coming from me!) Let me help you hate by sending your suggestions to thehater2009@gmail.com
