Vision FC coach Abdul Mbarushimana breathed a sigh of relief after his team’s 3-0 victory over Musanze on match day 15 of the Rwanda Premier League on Monday, December 30. Speaking to Times Sport, Mbarushimana who has been at the Vision FC's helm for just about a month, expressed relief at seeing his team secure a significant win and move off the bottom of the league table. The players were in high spirits during training, and I’m happy with their performance,” he said. “This win is a massive boost, but there’s still a lot of hard work ahead,” he added. Vision FC’s goals came from Idarusi Cyubahiro (19th minute), Prosper Rugangazi (36th minute), and Cyubahiro again in the first-half’s stoppage time. Mbarushimana also discussed his tactical approach in the game, saying he focused on creating more goal-scoring opportunities by having three or four players inside the opponent’s box. “I believe in this team’s ability to achieve our goals for the season,” he added. The win moved Vision FC from 15th to 14th place on the league table with 12 points. In another match, Bugesera FC defeated Marine FC 4-1 at home.
