Police FC head coach Vincent Mashami has expressed his determination to ensure that his team is in top form to continue its challenge for the trophy in the new year, adding that he is pleased with the growing confidence within the squad. The team’s most recent game was against Gasogi, and it won 2-0 at Kigali Pele Stadium on Friday, December 27. The team is now in contention for the trophy, despite having endured a couple years without winning it. “Our focus is on improving and correcting our mistakes,” Mashami said. “I am confident that we can now challenge the top teams and compete for both the league title and continental qualification next season. This is a big statement to our opponents, and we are determined to be ready for every game ahead,” he noted. Mashami also stated that his primary mission this season is to fight for the title and that the team will continue to push for victories. Police FC will close their first round on January 4 when they face league leaders Rayon Sports at Kigali Pele Stadium.
